Writing task 1 (a letter)

Your friend is coming to stay with you on holidays, but you are not available on that date. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter

- apologise for not being able to be there

- give a reason why you are not available

- suggest another day for your friend's visit

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Some countries allow teenagers to have a part-time job. Some people think this is a good idea, while others disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience.
