Latest IELTS Speaking questions from Italy - February 2024
Our student M took his IELTS tests in Italy a few days ago and was asked these Speaking questions:
Study Tip
Go over these questions and think of some things to say and what vocabulary you would use. IELTS Speaking test questions and topic areas are known to repeat in many countries! Being familiar with the topic and specific questions increases your chances of success.
Once you have some ideas, answer the questions and record yourself. Then listen to your recording and check your fluency, intonation, gaps in vocabulary or words you may have mispronounced. Re-record anything you are not happy with, and you'll see that your next attempt sounds better already!
Speaking test
Speaking Part 1 (Interview)
- What is your name?
- Where are you from?
- Can you tell me about your hometown?
- What do you like about your hometown?
- Are there many things for young people to do in your hometown?
- Now I'd like to talk about music.
- Do you play an instrument?
- When did you learn to play it?
- Was it hard to learn to play this instrument?
- Did you ever want to learn to play another instrument?
Speaking Part 2 (Cue Card)
Talk about a person you know who loves cooking for others. You should say
- who the person is
- who they cook for
- what dishes they like to make
and explain why this person likes cooking for others.
Follow-up question: Do you like cooking for others?
Speaking Part 1 (Discussion)
- In your opinion, why is food important?
- Why do you think people spend a lot of money on food when organising events?
- How does growing food impact the environment?
- In what way is agriculture useful for your country?
- Are there any initiatives in your country to make agriculture more sustainable?
- Can technology influence agriculture? In what way?
